Anderson University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts is proud to present an evening of collaboration joining several talented musical groups on campus. The Fall Choral Excursions Concert will feature the Anderson University Choir, Chamber Singers, and West African Drum and Dance Ensemble, blended together to offer audience members of all ages something to enjoy. The performance will be held in Henderson Auditorium on November 20, 2009 at 7:30 pm.

The Choral Excursions Concert will contain two very different themes. The beginning and end will spotlight the music of Africa, brought to the Anderson University campus by the efforts of Dr. David Perry. His landmark group, the West African Drum and Dance Ensemble, will perform on its own and accompany the Choir. During the second part of the concert, the Chamber Singers will present P.D.Q. Bach’s Oedipus Tex, a comedic parody of classical choral music and Greek tragedy. The community is invited to come and enjoy a night of variety and laughter. Tickets are $5 general admission and $3 for students. Call (864) 231-2080 for more information.
