Runaway Oconee Teens Found in Ga.
Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 7:02PM Sheriff’s Office investigators announce that a teen couple reported missing last month has been located in Georgia.
Marisa “Faithe” Whitten, 15, and her boyfriend, Zechariah Massey, 15, were reported as runaways on February 24. Whitten was listed as a runaway from Anderson County and Massey from Oconee County.
The two arrived in Perry, Georgia on Monday and secured jobs at a local restaurant. The restaurant owner became wary of the couple and asked the Perry Police to investigate. The officers were able to identify them as runaways and took them into custody.
Both were found in good health and their respective families have been notified.
Anderson and Oconee County Investigators are en route to Perry to transport the juveniles back to South Carolina.
