One of the nation’s top historians will be on the Anderson University campus to discuss Civil War history. Vernon Burton, author of numerous books on religious, social, and political history, will address Anderson University students at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 22.

Burton’s widely popular first book was entitled, In My Father’s House Are Many Mansions and his most recent work, The Age of Lincoln, was a runner up for the Pulitzer Prize in History for the past year.

Burton is the incoming President of the Southern Historical Association, which is one of the largest historical associations in the country.
