Upstate Christian Writers to Meet in Mauldin
Monday, March 8, 2010 at 1:24PM The Upstate SC American Christian Writers Chapter will host a free Writers' Mini-Workshop, Saturday, March 20, 2:30 - 5:00 PM at Greenville's Mauldin Branch Library. The Mauldin library is located at 800 W. Butler Road, Greenville, SC 29607, five miles from I-85, at exit 46C.
Lehman is an award-winning, best-selling author of 48 novels. She directed the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference for 25 years, is director of the Blue Ridge “Autumn in the Mountains” Novel Retreat (www.lifeway.com/novelretreat), co-director with Ann Tatlock of the Honored Authors of the Gideon Media Arts Film Festival (www.lifeway.com/gideonmediaarts), and mentor with the Christian Writers Guild. Her latest releases include North Carolina Weddings, a three-novel collection and three devotionals in Daily Devotions for Writers. Her first, Aloha Love, in a series of three Hawaiian historical novels has been released. Others in the series are Picture Bride and Love from Ashes. She earned a Master’s Degree in English from Western Carolina University and has taught English and Creative Writing.
Gilden is an experienced writer, speaker, editor, and writing coach. Author of the popular Love Notes series, she is also the author of Mommy Pick-Me-Ups and many ghostwritten books. With hundreds of magazine articles to her credit, Linda Gilden is a prolific writer who loves to share a great story. As a freelance editor and writing coach working with publishers and individuals she encourages others to make their writing the best it can be. As a member of the CLASS Seminar training staff, Linda enjoys helping others polish their speaking and writing skills on their journeys to clear, concise communication. She is Director of CLASS Christian Writers Conference to be held in November at the Ghost Ranch in New Mexico.
The workshop is free and open to anyone interested. An offering will be received to cover expenses.
