Looking for something different for Valentine’s weekend? How about a little murder?
Local theater troupe Show Offs! will present “Murder by Magic” at McGee’s Irish Pub for you and your Valentine’s sweetie.
For just $35 per person, you can enjoy a full meal, alcoholic beverages and a night of spooky chills and ghostly apparitions.
In 1929, “Morgo the Magnificent” was performing with his beautiful wife, Clarisse, when something went terribly wrong. Instead of a little slight of hand, Morgo slightly sawed his wife in half! In a fit of grief and remorse, Morgo hanged himself. Ever since, the couple have haunted McGee’s.
Now, Merchant Entertainment’s Lois Merchant has hired noted seer “Simone the Psychic” to lead the audience in contacting the ghosts of Morgo and Clarisse… if she weren’t a “few crystals short of a ball” that is. When things go awry, it’s up to the audience to figure out “whodunit” and how.
Presented by special arrangement with Mysteries by Moushey, it’s a night of murder, mystery and mirth to help you and your mate celebrate Valentine’s Day.
The five-course dinner consists of artisan breads & cheese, clams Casino, Hearst salad, an entree of roast beef & lobster sauce, and chocolate raspberry torte. Paired with beer and/or wine, it’s a meal made for lovers. Cost is $35 per person (does not include tax or gratuity). A non-refundable deposit of $10 per person is required when making reservations.
For reservations, contact McGee’s at (864) 261-6401
