Sandra Bradshaw, Gifted/STEM Teacher Leader at Midway Elementary School of Science and Engineering, is one of 10 South Carolina educators recently selected to serve on the CERRA Advisory Board.

The Board is an advisory group that supports the state's Center for Educator Recruitment, Retention, and Advancement (CERRA). The 35-member advisory board provides a teacher voice to the vision and direction of the nation's oldest and most-established teacher recruitment organization.

Educators selected to serve represent the diverse membership and perspectives of CERRA and ensure a diverse leadership of the advisory board. Each member is asked to demonstrate individual and team commitment by providing leadership of the organization through presentations, writing, mentoring, and advocating for the education profession across the state.

AS Gifted/STEM Teacher Leader, Mrs. Bradshaw teaches engineering classes to fourth and fifth graders while also coaching teachers in science and other academic areas.

Mrs. Bradshaw is a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) with 28 years of teaching experience. She has taught at both the elementary and middle school levels and has served on numerous district-level teams. She is currently the STEM Professional Development Leader for District Five. Since 2003, she has been at Midway Elementary School of Science and Engineering. From 2007-2009, Bradshaw was the school's Science Specialist.
