Annual Homeland Park Pride Day Saturday
Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 10:27PM The 5th Annual Homeland Park Pride Day will take place on Saturday, April 28. Volunteers will gather at 8:30 a.m. at the Homeland Park Fire Department. After the annual clean up event, residents can enjoy a Block Party, complete with jumping/bouncy toys, face-painting and balloons by Mr. Twister, Kelly Monfort, and raffle prizes for adults as well as children. Lunch will be provided by Freedom Church.
"Once again, I would like to invite everyone to come out and help us clean up the Homeland Park Community," said County Council woman Gracie Floyd. "This is an opportunity for everyone to come out and enjoy the fun and fellowship that comes from working together toward a common goal - together, we can continue to make the Homeland Park Community grow and shine!"
Volunteers are still needed. All volunteers will receive a goody bag, raffle ticket, free lunch and a great sense of satisfaction for helping clean up the Homeland Park Community. Additionally, organizers will sign community service forms for students.
Vendor setup will begin at 10 a.m. If your organization would like to participate as a vendor, there is still time. For more information on how to volunteer or be a vendor, please call 864.261.7009.
