S.C. Kayak Fishing Club Bass Tournament Set for Sunday

The South Carolina Kayak Fishing Club will host their first bass tournament Sunday from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. at Dolly Cooper Park in Powdersville. The cost of the event is $25, cash only, and can be paid Saturday or Sunday before the beginning of the event. he cost of the event is $25, cash only and can be paid 

Fifty percent of the proceeds from the event will benefit Special Olympics. The tournament will feature 50/50 payout and 100 percetn on big fish. The tournament is being held in conjunction with the Saluda River Rally, schedule Saturday, the day before the fishing event.

The S.C. Kayak Fishing Club has supported the Saluda River Rally for 9 years and this year are extending the river events by collaborating with Anderson County Parks and Recreation to host a fishing tournament. The access points will be at Dolly Cooper to Saluda River Grill, which is a 9-mile float; Timmerman in Pelzer, and the Adger Steet landing also in Pelzer. Shuttles will be available for those that choose Dolly Cooper to the Saluda River Grill.

The scoring will be done through Fatsack Outdoors. A copy of the rules will be posted for the event.
