Anderson City Council voted Monday night, on second reading, to ban all tobacco and e-cigarette usage within all City Parks and facilities, and within 25 feet of the sidewalks on Main Street between Greenville Sreett on the north, and Franklin Street on the south.

The ordinance requires outdoor seating on or within 25 feet of Main Street to be smoke free, whether the business prohibits or allows smoking.
The new restrictions require one more vote from city council to go into effect.
