1. What is the role of Anderson County Council?
a. Take existing resources and maximize return for the residence of Anderson County
b. Health, Safety, and Welfare
c. just a few examples: Law enforcement, Premiere paramedic service, dispatch, recreation opportunities and improving the quality of life for all citizens in the county.
2. What are the top three issues facing Anderson County over the next three years?

a) Maintain steady Economic Development growth with high-paying jobs. while maintaining a high quality of life.

Increased wages for Sheriff’s Department, with plan in place for raises, training facility, increased rural deputies to retain our law enforcement officers.

Improving Roads. With 1571 miles of county roads, and 157 bridges including 54 with load restrictions.
$51 million invested while in office. 1% tax roads funding referendum on November ballot tax would generate $336 million in seven years, with more than 30-35% generated by out-of-county visitors, and allow the county to bring all roads and bridges up to date for the first time in history..

3. What are the top three challenges for Dist. 4 over that same time period?   
Conservation Subdivisions with increased setbacks to reduce density and improve safety. Carrying out and continuing to update the Anderson County Comprehensive Plan, based on citizen input from the 8 months public meetings countywide. Infrastructure/sewer growth. Already invested $21 million invested with $9.6 million in grants. This is a countywide issue.
4.  During your service on council what are three things of which you are most proud?
a). My Efforts as Finance Chairman.  Decreasing taxes my first year on council and no tax increase on the citizen during my term.
b). My continued support for our law enforcement, supplying them with the tools necessary to protect our citizen and themselves.
c). Economic development. 3,160 new full-time jobs, 1.5 billion diverse investments, average wage increase from $13.58 to $23.85 per hour during my term, all with not tax increase.
