Only Two Candidates Agree to Pre-Runoff Interviews
Greg Wilson/Anderson Observer
On the first day of early voting in the South Carolina Primary Runoff Elections in Anderson County, 722 cast ballots, far ahead of the pace set by early voting in the June 11 primary.
Last week the Anderson Observer reached out to the four candidates in the runoffs, and despite multiple requests only two consented to answering questions that might help voters in this election.
In the United States House Dist. 3 race, Sheri Biggs responded to our queries, while in the S.C. House Dist. 9 Race, Blake Sanders offered answers to our questions.
It is disappointing that with so little local coverage Mark Burns and James Galyean declined the opportunity to expound on their goals and objectives if elected.
Early voting for the runoff continues Thursday and Friday, and the election is set for Tuesday.
