Mayor: West Pelzer Meeting Small-Town Challenges

West Pelzer’s newest Mayor James Riddle, Sr., is no stranger to the town known by some as “The Upstate’s Front Porch.” A veteran of the town’s council, Riddle was in a unique position when he took over the office, having been part of the strategic planning and success the town has experienced in recent years.

Riddle said the town is working to meet the challenges of growth, and making headway on such projects as making main street safer and managing growth despite tight geographical boundaries. He talked about this and offered other updates in this interview with the Anderson Observer.
