ACTC Esports Shooting for Scholarships, Championships

The Anderson County School Districts 1 & 2 Career and Technology Center E-sports team is looking for more than high scores.

The Delta Squad is shooting for championships and scholarships.

With a serious coach and hours of practice, the team is still in the running for the playoffs.

Esports is the faster growing sport in the world, with a combined audience last year of more than $500 million, more than football and baseball combined.

ACTC boasts five members on the Delta Squad: Kai Cobb, a senior at Wren High School,; Zachary Culp, a senior at Palmetto High School; Aizley Gonzalez. a freshman at Palmetto High School; J.D. Fischer, a freshman at Palmetto High School; and Luke Seigler. a freshman at Palmetto High School. Their coach is programming and design instructor Seth Pruitt.
