AIM, Dist. 5 Team Up with Foodsource to Provide Healthy Food
Greg Wilson/Anderson Observer
AIM has joined forces with Foodshare and Anderson School Dist. 5 to offer fresh, healthy food for those who do not have access or financial resources to eat healthy on a daily basis.
The school district is offering a no longer used food distribution center to store the fresh produce in a large refrigerator to allow for larger distribution.
Improving increased access to fresh, health food has long been a goal of AIM, said CEO Kristi King-Brock. The new partnership meets a big part of meeting that challenge.
The new Foodshare building goes into operation Wednesday.
