AIM’s Women And Children Succeeding program celebrated 30 years Thursday, with their annual “Hat’s Off to Women” luncheon at the Anderson Civic Center.
Nearly 180 women have graduated from the program, with some earning advanced and professional degrees. AIM Founder and CEO said many other women spent some time in the program which provided tools with life-changing results.
The program is now a model other agencies are evaluating to use statewide.
The program’s work includes childcare assistance, transportation assistance, matched savings accounts, career guidance, community support and friendship.
