Anderson Cricket Club Expansion Aims to Build Community

The Anderson County Cricket Club kicked off the 2023 season with a regional tournament on their home field at balloon hill near the Anderson Civic Center Saturday, with teams from across the area competing in the charity event.

The club now has two pitches (think fields) to host multiple tournament games simultaneously, and hopes to add additional pitches, a permanent bathroom and lights for night play in the future.

Cricket is the world's second most popular sport, with roughly 60 million players in 106 countries.
