Anderson County Administrator Rusty Burns said the recent “Rock the Country” event put on displays the county’s ability to collaborate to do things right.
The event, which drew 41,000 for each of the two days of concerts proceeded without incident and brought a projected economic impact to the area of more than $25 million, Burns told the crowd at the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce “Toast ‘N Topics” breakfast Thursday.
Burns also outlined recent growth in the county and offered some insight into the upcoming one-penny roads referendum, which will be on the ballot in November.
