City to Vote on Bigger Lots for Kayfield Farms
Greg Wilson/Anderson Observer
Anderson City Council will vote on changes to the Kayfield Farms subdivision at the corner of Crestview Road and Midway Road as part of the first meeting of 2024 in council chambers at City Hall at 6 p.m.
The proposal would reduce the number of houses from 159 to 124, and minimum lot sizes from 6,500 square feet to 8,500 square feet, with an average lot size of 9,750 square feet. Changes to setbacks and elevation are also part of the new proposal.
Responding to the demands of a growing population, city council will also consider hiring two new positions for the public transpiration system. The positions will be funded through the Federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act in the form of yearly Planning Funds (PL) allocated by the State.
Council will also honor the Westside High School S.C. 4A football champions as part of Monday’s meeting.
