Council Expected to Approve ACTC Funding for Roads

Anderson County Council will vote on approving use of Anderson County Transportation Committee funds for 17 roads as part of Tuesday’s meeting in the historic courthouse downtown. The $6 million from the ACTC will be matched with $600,000 from the current county budget.

The roads on the list for repair are: Branchwood Lane, Cedar Springs, Cardinal Springs, Old Mill, Rogers Road, Thompson Road, Firetower Road, Refuge Road and Von Hollen Road.

Council will also vote on authorizing applying for support funding for the Green Pond Landing Amphitheater Power & Lighting Project with total project costs not to exceed $300,000. For this project, the maximum grant program reimbursement is 50 percent of eligible costs up to and not to exceed $150,000 wherein the matching funds will originate from the Anderson County Accommodation Tax Fees.
