Council to Consider Closing Part of Parker Road
Anderson County Council will consider landowners’ request to close a portion of Parker Road as part of the regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the historic courthouse downtown.
Those who own land along the gravel and asphalt county road right of way asked for the closing and abandonment of the road north of Wells Road.
At the honors meet scheduled for 6 p.m., council will recognize educator Roy Mack for his lifetime of work. Resolutions to honor a pair of churches are also on the agenda. Neals Creek Baptist Church will be feted for 220 years of service to the community and Evergreen Hills honored for 150 years of service.
