Council to Look at Parks Grant, Infrastructure Credits

Anderson County Council will give final vote to an agreement between the county and Lake Hartwell Development Group LLC D/B/A at The Shores of Asbury for the Asbury Park site on Lake Hartwell to finally clarify an amendment to sublease agreement on funds generated through those subleases Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the historic courthouse downtown.

The original amendments included errors in the way the funds would be charged.

On Tuesday, council will also:

Vote on providing $3,000 matching funds for a $12,000 grant for disc golf course improvements at Dolly Cooper Park.

Vote on authorizing a infrastructure credit agreement by and between Anderson County and Project Trust providing for payments in lieu of taxes requiring a $4.7 million investment and brining in 60 new jobs.

At the 6 p.m. recognitions meeting, council will honor the Westside High School football team for their 2023 4A championship, and the Pendleton High School Pride of Pendleton Marching Band on winning their fifth consecutive 2A state championship.
