Fork No. 2 Voters Approve Zoning Referendum

Residents of the Fork No. 2 Precinct near Townville voted overwhelming to approve a referendum to provide zoning for their area on Tuesday.
A total of 297 of the 389 votes cast voted “Yes” on providing zoning for their district. with a 23.27 percent voter turnout.
Residents of the area had earlier petitioned Anderson County Council to allow the referendum. The new zoning regulations will be in place for new or expanding entities, but exclude those not now allowed in the new zoning.
