Sky’s The Limit for Downtown's Up on the Roof Manager
Greg Wilson/Anderson Observer
When she goes to work each day, Macy Taylor is on top of the town. Combining hard work and talent, the general manager of Up on the Roof in downtown Anderson, has risen quickly in the industry, and her future looks as spectacular as the views from her current place of work.
It’s a future Taylor never saw coming growing up, though she planted the seeds of it while still in high school. Born in Connecticut, she grew up in Honea Path, and attended BHP High School, where she was an honor student. After deciding college was not what she wanted, she began looking at other options for a career.
Since high school she had worked in restaurants and when the opportunity arose to learn more about the business side, she jumped in with both feet. Today she runs Anderson’s tallest downtown establishment, a place with unmatched views and a chill vibe that is making the restaurant a bright spot for meals and gatherings.
