Meals on Wheels Hartwell Lake Run this Weekend

Meals on Wheels – Anderson’s biggest fundraiser of the year, the Hartwell Lake Charity Run is set for this weekend at Green Pond Landing and Events Center.

The weekend’s activities begin with tomorrow’s ticketed event, “Social on the Green,” featuring live music by Talbert Black, catered food by Sullivan’s Metropolitan Grill, with boats on display. Limited tickets available onsite.

The Friday night Street Party will feature live music from The Vinyl Junkies, catered dinner by Creekside Bar-be-que, local vendors, and a live auction, benefiting Meals on Wheels - Anderson. Saturday’s schedule of begins with an 11 a.m. Boat Blast-Off that the public is invited. There will be food, full cash bar, vendors and music at Green Pond Landing all throughout the day. Parking each day will be $10 at the gate.

The final event for the weekend is the Hartwell Lake Charity Run After Party. All participating boaters and the public are welcome to hang out for dinner catered by Renee B. Hall, drinks, live music from the Tailgate Homeboys and a sunset send off to the 2024 Hartwell Lake Charity Run. The After Party is a ticketed event and a limited number will be available for purchase on site. 

Green Pond Landing will be closed for public use throughout the Charity Run weekend, beginning Thursday.
