More than 300 turned out for the annual Anderson Ministerial Association’s MLK, Jr. event at the Anderson Civic Center on Monday, for a time of reflection and tribute.
Keynote speaker for the event was Chris Singleton, a former professional baseball player who lost his mother in the Mother Emmanuel Mass Shootings in 2015, who offered hope for difficult times.
The event raised more than $14,000 for the United Negro College Fund.
