Pendleton Update: Cheney Mill, New Budget, Recreation
Greg Wilson/Anderson Observer
The Town of Pendleton is reporting major progress on both the Cheney Mill Project and the cleanup of the old Pendleton Oil Mill site moving into the summer months.
The Cheney project is well under way and will feature a planned community with 120 housing units and mixed retail, all matching the design and look of the 121-year-old mill. Construction could be completed by the fall of 2026.
Pendleton is also working on the town’s new budget, which will include a new position for community engagement, recreation improvements and funding for new signage for the town. See budget here.
Mayor Frank Crenshaw offered updates on these news items and other efforts in this interview with the Anderson Observer.
