Supporting Local Journalism Important, Appreciated

Greg Wilson/Anderson Observer

It’s time for my annual mid-year reader appeal for support. (cue music, but sorry, I don't have any tote bags to give)

The Anderson Observer, news from people you trust, was launched more than 15 years ago to provide daily local news coverage for Anderson County and to serve as an advocate for every individual and organization working to make our county a better place to live and work.

We remain the only news organization covering local county and city government, plus news from the other towns and cities in the county, and are committed to continue to serve as a watchdog and public trust for the community as well as an advocate.

Thanks to our advertisers and supporters, the Observer continues to grow in coverage and influence. Could not do it without your support.

We have never charged for the news, and never will. But a heartfelt thank you goes out to our Patreon supporters who have allowed us to expand to new coverage areas and more fully cover the basics of local journalism.

Your donations also encourage the work of the Observer letting us know there are those who show their appreciation for local journalism in such a tangible, generous way.

So, if you would like to support the work of Anderson’s last daily newspaper, please visit https://www.patreon.com/user?u=13438342
