Wellington Soccer Event to Highlight Park's Growth

The Wellington Park Cage Classic is scheduled Saturday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., with five-on-five tournaments set to showcase and raise funds for the park.

The park event, located at 4010 Calvert Street in Anderson, will feature snacks and drinks as well as family activities and games.

Sponsored by the America Outlaws Anderson Soccer Chapter, and Anderson County, the facility features a play area that includes play for both basketball and soccer, as well as other sports on the fenced-in court.

Brock Elder, whose vision helped bring the new park upgrades to the historic Wellington Park, offered other updates and a vision for the future in this update with the Anderson Observer.
