2024 a Banner Year for City of Anderson

The City of Anderson experienced widespread growth in 2024, with record numbers of new housing starts to the beginning of major upgrades to recreation opportunities.

Mayor Terence Roberts said it was a good year for Anderson, with new businesses and the growth of established businesses as well.

Roberts discusses the more than 5,000 new housing starts, long-planned updates to Linley Park and Cater’s Lake Park, along with some of the most-attended events in the city’s history as well as looks to the future in this interview with the Anderson Observer.
