Mayor: Chiquola Mill Update Tops Honea Path News

The $2.65 million grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency to Honea Path for environmental remediation and cleanup efforts at the abandoned Chiquola Mill site tops the news from the town moving into summer.

Mayor Christopher Burton said once the funding is in hand in October, the town will proceed to consider plans for the property. Burton also said the town is growing with new housing starts and new businesses.
