Pendleton Luthier Finds Just the Right Tone

Matt McClellan has found a way to bring a little more joy to the world.

The luthier’s work out of his custom guitar shop on the square in Pendleton has caught the eyes and ears of players from across the country.

Operating out of a building that for years was home to a service station, he has spent more than a decade honing his skills as a guitar maker, finding the perfect match of wood and tone for those who order his guitars.
