West Pelzer Elects Scarfo to Council

West Pelzer elected Thomas Scarfo to town council in a special election Tuesday.

The non-partisan election filled the seat of Councilmember Pat Alexander who, after many years of service, is moving away from the area.

Scarfo, who ran unopposed, received 12 of the 14 votes cast. There were two write-in votes. Only 2.65 percent of eligible voters turned out for the special election.
