S.C. House 10 Thomas Beach
Greg Wilson/Anderson Observer
1. What are the three most pressing needs of your district and how can you help address those needs?
Infrastructure, cost of living, and protecting the innocence of children.
In regards to infrastructure; people expect our roads to be fixed, and with the various agencies who deal with the roads, the average citizen does not know exactly who to turn to in order to have something repaired. This is often followed by a lot of finger pointing among the county and state departments that deal with road repair. I proposed to make the Lt Governor accountable for the roads by placing all the various organizations, departments, including the Dept of Transportation under their office. Currently, the Lt Governor position has 0 power. However, they get a paycheck and we already have to vote for this person every four years. Let's give them the responsibility of fixing things and let there be someone who can be held accountable if our roads are not fixed.
In regards to cost of living, we spend millions of dollars on waste. We have grown government spending by 25% since I was elected two years ago. South Carolina citizens do not exist to be Columbia's ATM for pork projects. We should not be spending millions of dollars on gummy bear statues, Zumba classes, BMX bike trails, shared cooking recipe campaigns, art classes for adults, etc. etc., and especially not funding Planned Parenthood. Let the people have more of their own money, and keep career politicians from making everyone poorer.
In regards to children's innocence, we must stop taxpayer funding of pornographic, explicit, and lewd material that is aimed at our kids in schools and in public libraries. We must have laws that punish doctor-assisted chemical castration and mutilation of children, which I helped to pass this year. And for heaven's sake, sexual drag queen shows should never have children in attendance or part of the performance. Adults can do adult things, but don't drag the children into drag queen shows.
2. How would you work with the Anderson County Legislative Delegation to work on these issues?
If the people's representatives were to go to Columbia and fight to defund pork projects and use the money for actual functions of government like teacher's pay, roads and bridges, and law enforcement, we could fully pay for these necessary goods. I would be happy to work with the Anderson Delegation to restore good government and fiscal responsibility. I have no interest in being a "team player" when it comes to wasting taxpayer dollars.
3. What are the state’s three most pressing needs moving into 2025?
Lower spending and taxation.
Getting ahead of the pending energy crisis.
Passing legislation that protects South Carolina from an overreaching and burdensome federal government.
4. What is your approach to working with other house members to achieve the greater good?
Be cordial with everyone, but be ready to fight against anything that is not going to put America and South Carolina citizens first.
5. What are three personal or professional qualities that make you the best candidate for this office?
Be ready to serve people from all walks of life. Know how to place your faith in free people and free markets instead of government. And most importantly - understand that it is the #1 job of elected representatives to protect your Constitutional rights.
6. INCUMBENTS ONLY: Name the three most significant accomplishments of your time in office?
As a member of the SC Freedom Caucus, I stopped taxpayer money being used to mutilate and chemically castrate children as young as four at MUSC.
I have sponsored and cosponsored the most legislation to fight the illegal immigration invasion.
I want to thank Palmetto Gun Rights for recognizing me for personally strengthening Constitutional Carry and the specifics can be found on their website under their news tab.
