Anderson County Administrator Offers Flurry of Updates
Greg Wilson/Anderson Observer
Anderson County is witnessing a busy June on all fronts, according to Administrator Rusty Burns, as county council prepares to pass a new $357 million budget for the coming fiscal year.
Economic development across the county, updates on the new Anderson County Detention Center (set to open in 2027), progress on Equinox Mill Development and sewer upgrades highlight some of the activity.
Meanwhile festivals, concerts and other recreational activities fill the months going into the official start of Summer.
Burns discusses these, plus Anderson’s agricultural legacy that continues, in this interview with the Anderson Observer.
