Back-to-School Supplies Giveaway Draws Crowd to Anderson Mall

More than 2,000 showed up for the school supplies giveaway Thursday at the Anderson Mall, with lines winding across the front section of the mall.

Many were already in line at 9 a.m. for the event which started at 11 a.m.

Sponsored by the Anderson County’s Coroner’s Office, Anderson-Oconee Behavioral Health and Anderson Crimestoppers, organizers plan to make the giveaway an annual event.
