Belton’s Alan Sims Honored for Statewide Contributions as Fire Chief

Belton City Administrator Alan Sims and his wife Jill Sims were recently honored for their contributions to the South Carolina State Association of Fire Chiefs.
Sims retired from the position of executive director of the organization in January, after 13 years if service as executive director. He previously served in a variety of positions in firefighting, including chief of the Belton Fire Department.
Alan, who has spent most of his life a firefighter, talks about his years of public service in this interview with the Anderson Observer.
