Anderson County Councilman Jimmy Davis, Dist. 6, kicked of a series of community information meetings Tuesday at the Anderson County Civic Center with presentations by the Anderson County Fire Commissioners, the Emergency Management Services, and the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.

The purpose of the meetings is to both inform the public and connect with the county agencies to see how the county council can help them accomplish their goals and objectives.

“The decisions we make on Anderson County Council affect every agency in Anderson County and every life in Anderson County,” said Davis, who added the meetings are an opportunity to hear from all agencies, schools, utilities and other groups in the county.

“You make great decisions with great information,” said Davis.
