Building Black Leaders Back-to-School Event This Weekend

A back-to-school event, “School House Rock,” sponsored by the Budling Black Leaders organization, is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in the parking lot of the Anderson Mall. The non-profit group is dedicated to empowering and supporting black youth.

The event is free and open to the public and will feature food, games, bounce houses, slides and other activities on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. On Sunday, the car show is set for 1-5 p.m. School House Rock will also offer free school supplies for the coming academic year. educational journey. 

Building Black Leaders is dedicated to empowering Black youth and promoting educational excellence. Through initiatives such as School House Rock, the group aims to foster a supportive community that encourages academic achievement and personal growth. By providing access to resources and opportunities, they seek to equip students with the tools they need to reach their full potential through mentoring and academic opportunities.
