Chris Sullivan to Join County Council

Sullivan said his father’s participation in community service helped inspire his desire to run for office.
“My dad served on numerous boards while I grew up, so I always felt it was my responsibility to serve our Anderson community,” said Sullivan. “I look forward to the opportunity to serve the people of Anderson County as part of the county council.”
After graduating from the University of Georgia, Sullivan moved back to Anderson, where he worked in banking for more than 15 years, during which time he has been involved with the Chamber of Commerce and United Way, as well as serving on other boards and committees including the Anderson TD Club (where he serves as president) and on the board of Inspire Abilities of Anderson County’s board of directors. He and his wife, Sissa, operated Blake and Brady Boutique in downtown Anderson from 2007-2021. They have two children, Blakely, a sophomore at the University of Alabama and Brady, a junior at T.L. Hanna.
“In 2007 my wife and I opened Blake and Brady Boutique in Downtown Anderson,” said Sullivan. “Being a part of the growth of Downtown over our 15 years there is one of the great moments of my life. I am a very proud Andersonian and am amazed at how it has grown over the years.”
He has met with all council members and has been attending council meetings for the past several months, and is impressed with the leadership and ready to get to work.
