Council Oks Sewer Partnership Plan for Green Pond

Anderson County Council approved a memorandum of understanding between the county and Hartwell Resort, LLC, for a joint sewer project. 

The resort, located on the property of the old Tiger Cove Campground, will allow the development of sewer service which would also be used by Green Pond Landing and Events center. Green Pond is currently on septic tank, which is always a concern near the lake.

Council also gave final approval to transferring properties owned by the county to a neighborhood initiative project by the Nehemiah Community Revitalization Corporation. The group has already helped revitalize housing in some challenged neighborhoods in the county.
