Council to Vote on Zoning, Honor Bassmaster Champions

Anderson County Council will vote, on third reading, a rezoning request for .49 acres at 2647 Anderson Highway in Williamston from C-2 Highway Commercial District to R-20 Single-Family Residential District as part of Tuesday’s regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the historic courthouse downtown. 

Council will also vote, on second reading, approval of transferring properties to the Nehemiah Community Corporation and on the sale of the Iva Library Property to Anderson School District Three. 

A new library is planned for downtown Iva as part of this sale.

At 6 p.m., council will honor Emily DeRoberts, who is retiring from Duke Energy, and Collin Smith and Brady Kimbrell for winning the 2022 Bass Pro Shop Bassmaster Team Championship.
