Observer Reports

Electrolux Group on Tuesday donated $90,000 worth of laundry baskets to Anderson Interfaith Ministries (AIM), which will be distributed to Hope Missions of the Upstate, New Foundations Home for Children, Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, Clemson Community Care, Anderson County schools, Clean Start, and other local non-profits.

“We are so grateful for our partnership with Electrolux Group. It allows us to work together to positively impact our community,” said Kristi King-Brock, executive director of AIM. “Thank you for your continued support of our work at AIM and for all you do for this Upstate community.

”The 5,300 LuxCare™ Foldable Hamper and Laundry Basket is two products in one; It’s a hamper for dirty clothes which, once full, can be zipped it up and carried by its straps as a streamlined laundry basket.

Anderson is home to an Electrolux Group factory that manufactures top-quality refrigerators and freezers under the company’s Electrolux and Frigidaire brands.

“For 35 years, Electrolux Group has been a proud part of the Anderson community,” Helton Santos, plant manager of the Electrolux Group Anderson refrigeration factory. “And we want to see all the city’s citizens thriving. This donation is one – of many – ways we give back to the community we call home.”

Team members from the Electrolux Group South Carolina refrigeration factory added “sweat equity” to the donation by unloading the 18-wheeler truck at AIM’s office. A valued Electrolux Group partner, Venture Express, contributed by providing transportation of the donation at no cost.
