The Erskine College fishing team of Lane Clark and Adam Seagle were alone at the top of the collegiate division weekend tournament at Green Pond Landing and Events Center, hosted by the Palmetto Boat Center College Tournament Trail.

Meanwhile anglers from Byrnes High School took home the top honors in Saturday’s Palmetto Boat Center High School Tournament Trail, while Riverside Middle School earned the title for their school.

Cody Abbott and Michell Robinson of Byrnes were winners in the high school category, and Hunter Gamble and Jake Black of Riverside were winners in the middle school division. More than 400 anglers competed in the two events.

“Always happy to have the Palmetto Boat Center tournaments at Green Pond Landing,” said Neil Paul, executive director of Visit Anderson. “Marty Walker and his team provide a first-class opportunity for college anglers and Anderson County has provided us with one of the finest tournament facilities in America in Green Pond Landing.”

The event was sponsored by Palmetto Boat Center, Shimano Fishing, Nitro Performance Bass Boats, Phoenix Bass Boats, Tracker Off Road, Mercury Marine, Visit Anderson, and the Anderson County Parks & Recreation Department.
