Finnish Company Brings 65 Jobs to Piedmont

Anderson County officially welcomed a new international company. Halton MEI USA, Inc.. a company headquartered in Finland, will bring 65 new jobs and a $2.6 million investment to Piedmont.

The family-owned company, manufactures indoor air solutions to customers in more than 35 countries, designing, manufacturing and delivering indoor-environment products including marine, energy and heavy industry environments.

“Anderson County is pleased to welcome Halton to our outstanding array of internation investment in Anderson County,” said Anderson County Administrator Rusty Burns.

Halton will lease a 39,000-square-foot space located at 120 Exchange Logistics Park Drive, Piedmont. Operations are expected to under way next month.

“Bringing a family-owned company like Halton into our community is great,” said Anderson County Councilman Jimmy Davis. “This project is a great fit for us, and I look forward to seeing them succeed.”

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits related to the project and awarded a $100,000 Set-Aside grant to Anderson County to assist with the costs of building improvements.
