Good Weather, Crowd, Greet Friends of Broadway Lake Annual Family Day

Despite threats of rain, the turn out for the annual Broadway Lake Family Day was impressive on Saturday at McFall’s Landing.

The event featured music, a ski show by the Carolina Ski team, a car show, food trucks, kids games, and the always-popular cardboard boat races.

The fire department cardboard boat race was won by Homeland Park Fire Department (Broadway Fire Department finished second and Flat Rock-Bowen Fire Department finished a close third), and the charity cardboard boat race was won by Freedom Fences, with Vets Helping Vets taking second place and the Anderson Free Clinic third.
