Graham Praises Anderson at Annual Chamber Awards

U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham was the keynote speaker at the 2024 Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce annual meeting at the Civic Center on Monday, where he said $5 million was coming to Anderson to help bring the mega convenience store Buc-ee’s to Exit 21. Graham also offered lauded the efforts of the chamber and the cooperative effort which made Anderson a special place in the state’s econonmy.
But the focus of the event was to honor those who made the chamber and community a success over the past year.
This year’s winners were:
Pam Christopher, was awarded South Carolina Chamber Executive of the Year
Carol Burdette, President and CEO of United Way of Anderson, was honored with the Duke Citizenship & Service Award
Lois Philyaw, middle left, is presented the Ambassador of the Year
Jonathon Brissey, Young Professional of the Year
Steve Dean, New Foundations Home for Children, Non-Profit Director of the Year
