Holiday Events, Parades Fill Calendar in Days Ahead

It's the most wonderful time of the year, time to deck the halls, haul out the holly and get ready to light up this year's county Christmas tree downtown which now tops 46 feet. Piedmont and Williamston have already held events, and more county civic celebrations of the holidays with Christmas parades, tree lightings and other events on the horizon.

Here's the schedule of key holiday events for 2023: 

Anderson Christmas Lights, now open (through Christmas Eve)

Iva Tree Lighting, Thursday 6:30 p.m.

Pendleton Tree Lighting, Friday, 6 p.m.

Pendleton Christkindlmarkt, Village Green, Fridays and Saturday, Through Dec. 16 4:30-8:30 p.m.

City of Anderson Cookie Crawl, Tree Lighting, Holiday Walk, Holiday Ice- Friday, 6 p.m.

The Anderson County Farmers Market "Holiday Market" is a RAIN or SHINE event. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays through December 23rd.

Honea Path Parade, Saturday, 11 a.m.

Williamston Parade - Saturday, 1 p.m.

Piedmont Parade - Saturday, 11 a.m.

Anderson County Disabilities/Special Needs Christmas Parade, 4 p.m at Lights of Hope Saturday

West Pelzer/Pelzer Parade - Saturday, 5:30 p.m. 

City of Anderson Parade- Sunday, 3 p.m.

Belton Christmas Parade, Sunday, 3:30 p.m.

Pendleton Parade - Dec. 10, 3 p.m. 

Iva Carols and Cider, Dec. 14 6:30 p..m.

Iva Parade - Dec. 17, 4 p.m.
