Leverette New Dist. 5 Board Chair

Anderson School Dist. 5 chose Sandra Leverette as chairman on of the board of Trustees during their meeting on Tuesday night, one which had been delayed from the week before due to winter weather.

Board members Rick Bradshaw and Bill Thompson had also put their names in for the board’s top leadership spot.

New board member Tripp Dukes is the new vice-chairman and Cindy Burriss will serve as secretary.

School Dist. 5 is the county’s largest district with more than 13,000 students in one early childhood school, 11 elementary schools, four middle schools and two high schools.
