McLees Opens Adaptive Playground for Special Needs Students
Greg Wilson/Anderson Observer
McLees Elementary School officially opened its new playground for special needs students on Monday, with a ceremony at the school.
The adaptive playground equipment will allow all students to enjoy the outdoors play experience at the school, including the 40-50 special needs students who now attend McLees.
The playground, and an identical facility built at Midway Elementary School which is also now open, each cost $200,000 and expected to last for more than a decade.
