County Towns, Communities Receive Recreation Grants

Observer Reports

A number of town and communities in Anderson County received $5,000 recreation program grants on Monday.

The funds were presented by S.C. Sen. Mike Gambrell, R-Anderson.

Those groups receiving the recreation funding included:

Piedmont Public Service District—Thomas Pack Park

Town of Pelzer—Hopkins Field

Town of West Pelzer—Senator Billy O’Dell Community Center

Town of Williamston—Brookdale Park

City of Belton—Serena Land Park/Farmers Market

Homeland Park Community Watch—Neighborhood Initiatives

Town of Starr—Starr Walking Track

Town of Iva—Community Center

Town of Honea Path—Bridwell Park

Watkins Community Center—Improvements and Activities
